Caryl Petersen – Registered Dental Assistant
Hi, I am Caryl and I am Dr. Nazir‘s chief assistant and I have lived in the Bay area all my life. I have been in the dental field since 1979 and have worked in different capacities, such as working at the Alameda Coast Guard, at both the USCSF and UOP dental schools and other dental specialties such as Endodontics, Prosthodontics, Pedodontics, Oral Surgery and Periodontics. At Dr. Nazir’s chairside I am now learning Orthodontics and Implantology too.
Continually improving my knowledge in the field and giving our patients a better understanding of the importance of preventive dental care is my uppermost wish and it’s what drives me to come to work every single day! I am proud to part of this great team. In my free time, I like to bike ride, swim, play tennis and do some gardening.
Lesly Vasquez – Dental Assistant
One of the reasons why I enjoy dentistry is because of how it challenges you and you provide services that help patients feel and look better. My professional goal is to become a dental hygienist and I feel as I continue working and learning skills that will help me. Being at Smiles N Braces has a positive and professional energy where you feel welcome and ready to get the day started. In my free time I enjoy being outside or spending time with my family and friends.
Hunter Jakubielski – Office Assistant
I’m Hunter Jakubielski. I am a Junior at Monte Vista High School and I work at smiles n braces after school and on the weekends. I carry out and help with scheduling and insurance as well as assisting other employees with their tasks. I enjoy playing golf, I am a sports car enthusiast, and in my spare time I like to playing videogames and basketball with my freinds. I appreciate the opportunity to work with Dr. Nazir and have learned so much.
